By booking Adelaide Mermaids, you and your guests agree to act appropriately and respectfully. You acknowledge that for safety and assistance, parent/caregiver supervision is required at all times. Adelaide Mermaids and their assistants do not constitute adequate supervision.

 

Our performers are people too, so please listen to them. Any harassment and abuse, both physically and verbally, to ourselves or our belongings will not be tolerated. Any damage to equipment or costumes by unsupervised children can be charged after your event has finished. When there are many children we do our best to redirect behaviour but we cannot see everything at once.

Water events require adequate adult/guardian supervision, this is non-negotiable. Adelaide mermaids holds the right to cancel an event if we feel supervision is not adequate around a body of water. Adelaide Mermaids are trained, but as we move slowly in our tails and they hinder movement in case of an emergency situation. 

 

Booking Policy

Your event is only confirmed once a deposit is received. For all non-corporate events a 20% on-refundable deposit is required. Once we have agreed on your event and the date/time we will send an electronic invoice. The deposit is required within 7 days (within 24 hours if your event date is within 7 days) to secure your date and time. If a deposit is not received within the above time the date is released for other event bookings.

Final balance is due 7 days before your event. Payment on the day is not accepted. Failure to communicate payment terms before your event can result in event cancellation.

In the event your booking needs to be cancelled, Adelaide Mermaids hold discretion whether your deposit will be refunded.

Events can be rescheduled, but we require 48 hours minimum and as long as we have performer availability.

Changing from pool event to an indoor event we require 48 hours’ notice for pool to indoor kit changes. Our activities differ between event types and we pack our party kits accordingly. On the day venue changes require 2 hours’ notice but please understand we may not have time to change the activities we bring along so they may not be the same as other indoor events you may have seen.

Photo release and Disclosure

Any photos taken by Adelaide Mermaids may be used on social media. If there are any who do not wish to have their photo shared we will need to be informed. Any photos sent to us or shared with us, we assume we have permission to share on social media.
